Representatives Sharon Cooper and Erick Allen to Host Town Hall Meetings on Addiction and Recovery During National Recovery Month
ATLANTA – State Representatives Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta) and Erick Allen (D-Smyrna) will host separate town hall meetings on addiction and recovery during National Recovery Month.
At each town hall meeting, Rep. Cooper and Rep. Allen will be joined by an expert panel to discuss and answer questions about the country’s addiction crisis and recovery efforts.
The panel will be moderated by Jeff Breedlove, Georgia Council on Substance Abuse; and the panelists will include Robin Elliott, Georgia Overdose Prevention; and Amy Armstrong, MARR Addiction Treatment Center, Neil Campbell, Executive Director Georgia Council on Substance Abuse; and TaTa-Nisha Frazier, a person in long term Recovery and a finalist in the Georgia Recovers campaign.
Community leaders and stakeholders are invited to attend and are encouraged to invite anyone who is interested in learning more about addiction and recovery. These meetings are free and open to the public and media.
