This inspiring event unites the Georgia Recovery Community — people in recovery, families, healthcare professionals, advocates, and allies — to celebrate and strengthen our collective voice. Together, we represent over 800,000 Georgians in recovery, showing that Recovery Is Here and Recovery Is Real.

Addiction Recovery Awareness Day is a time for us to celebrate recovery, educate the public, and advocate for change.

Registration for Addiction Recovery Awareness Day (ARAD) 2026 is free and open to the public. We encourage individuals in recovery, family members, advocates, professionals, and community partners to join us in celebrating and strengthening Georgia’s recovery community.
Advance registration helps us plan for seating, materials, and refreshments — so please take a moment to sign up before the event.
Check-in will open at 9:00 AM inside the Georgia Freight Depot.

We are seeking financial support, grants, and in-kind contributions (such as meals, transportation, or event supplies) to ensure that every attendee can participate fully in ARAD 2026. Funding and in-kind donations will directly support:
- Transportation: Ensuring advocates from rural and urban communities have access to the State Capitol.
- Meals & Refreshments: Providing food for all participants, including volunteers and Recovery Heroes.
- Advocacy Materials: T-shirts, signage, educational materials, and resource guides for advocates to use during meetings with legislators.
- Event Logistics: Rental of event spaces, AV equipment, and other necessary materials to conduct a successful advocacy day.
Who Your Support Helps:
Your support directly empowers recovery voices. In 2025, ARAD connected over 1,200 advocates with legislators, resulting in meaningful conversations around recovery policy, community support, and stigma reduction. Funding and donations for ARAD 2026 will enable:
- Advocates from underserved areas to participate fully.
- Expansion of peer-led advocacy workshops and training sessions.
- Increased visibility of the recovery movement through coordinated media coverage, social media, and advocacy materials.
