Announcing The Substance Use Disorder Policy Partnership

Representing Over 1 Million Georgians, Peers, Their Families, and the Professionals Who Provide Services

Announcing The Substance Use Disorder Policy Partnership (GSUDPP) which consists of 40 organizations serving people affected by Substance use Disorder (Addiction), their families, and the professionals who provide word class care representing the largest constituency of Georgians impacted by addiction in the public policy community.

The  Substance Use Disorder Policy Partnership (GSUDPP) supports policies which advance positive solutions, increased funding, and removes stigmatizing barriers for those impacted by addictions and the professionals who provide care and services.

This is a united coalition supporting substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery representing over one million Georgians, their families, and the professionals who provide services.

“The CDC just announced the life expectancy rate in the United States has decreased. They listed two medical reasons as to why: overdoses and COVID. Addiction is an epidemic. Addiction is killing people in communities across Georgia and devastating families, the workforce, our medical system, our schools, and our law enforcement structure. The Substance Use Disorder Policy Partnership is a historic united coalition bringing the entire community working on addiction together. Together, we will work to advance substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery policies,” said Jeff Breedlove, Chief of Policy and Communications, Georgia Council for Recovery
