The Georgia Council for Recovery congratulates Kevin Tanner on his appointment from Governor Kemp to serve as the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). Governor Kemp has made a strong pro-peer and pro-family appointment with the appointment of Kevin Tanner.

“The Georgia Council for Recovery is extremely excited. Governor Kemp could not have made a stronger appointment than Kevin Tanner. Chairman Tanner is a strong partner for peers and families. We look forward to partnering with Commissioner Tanner as he moves DBHDD forward on those Behavioral Health policy issues (addiction and mental illness) so important to Georgia peers and families,” said Neil Campbell, Executive Director of the Georgia Council for Recovery.

Kevin Tanner is a strong leader who builds diverse coalitions to achieve positive policy.
