COVID-19 and the Recovery Community

COVID-19 and the Recovery Community

COVID-19 is a reality posing not only physical challenges but psychological and emotional challenges.

The good news is that we are not alone and both public and private sector leaders are working around the clock.

For the recovery community and people seeking recovery, COVID-19 might cause some enhanced concern. Your friends at the Georgia Council on Substance are here for you. If you need someone to talk with, to listen, or give support, call the CARES Warm Line at 844-326-5400. Our peer recovery coaches are answering the phones from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., 7 days per week.

And remember:

Recovery teaches us that we are strong and resilient, and to:

    • Listen to the experts
    • Remain hopeful
    • Practice wellness
    • Lead with Love
    • Stay connected
    • Check on each other

New information about COVID-19 is being released every day. For the most up-to-date information visit the Georgia Department of Public Health website at dph.georgia.gov
