Unfortunately, what\u2019s next is Phase 2 of the Pandemic and the next level of medial issues.<\/p>\n<p>At the top of the list, posing the most serious threat are medical issues associated with mental health and addiction recovery.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Recovery Community, the Georgia Mental Health Community, and our families and friends are joining together for a <strong>statewide Virtual Rally for Recovery for Recovery Across Georgia \u2013 Supporting Funding For Recovery In The State Budget<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday May 21 at 12:00 PM EST via Zoom at 896-3342-9328 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are over 800,000 people in recovery from Substance Use Disorder across Georgia and thousands more in active addiction. Still many thousand more deal with mental health issues beyond Substance Use Disorder.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Recovery Community will speak to the realty that as Georgia moves into Phase 2 of COVID-19 those working in mental health and addiction recovery services emerge as the essential frontline workforce and recovery and mental health programs are essential.<\/p>\n<p>As we move deeper into COVID-19, Georgia must have more resources to address issues surrounding Substance Use Disorder.
