{"id":4092,"date":"2021-06-28T10:53:30","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T14:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gc4recovery.org\/?p=4092"},"modified":"2021-06-28T10:53:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T14:53:56","slug":"2021-georgia-recovery-month-proclamation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gc4recovery.org\/gc4rnewwebsite20\/2021-georgia-recovery-month-proclamation\/","title":{"rendered":"2021 Georgia Recovery Month Proclamation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Recovery Month 2021 Proclamation<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS,<\/strong> behavioral health is an essential part of health and one\u2019s overall wellness; and<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS,<\/strong> recovery from alcohol and other drug use occurs every day through a variety of recovery support resources and treatment programs; and<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS,<\/strong> prevention of mental and substance use disorders works, treatment is effective, and people recover across Georgia and around the nation; and<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS,<\/strong> millions of people across the United States are in long-term recovery living happy, healthy, and productive lives; and<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS,<\/strong> the 2021 National Recovery Month theme, \u201cRecovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,\u201d reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone&#8217;s journey is different, but we are all in this together, and<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS,<\/strong> education about recovery and addiction is essential to combating the stigma and discrimination faced by people in recovery is needed by all Georgians including public health and safety officials, the workforce, older adults, and families; and<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WHEREAS<\/strong>, to help more people achieve and sustain long-term recovery, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia, the Association of Community Service Boards, the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association, the Georgia Association of Recovery Residencies, and the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse, invite all residents of the State of Georgia to participate in <strong>National Recovery Month;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>NOW, THEREFORE, I (NAME),<\/strong> by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of (PLACE), do hereby proclaim the month of September 2021 as:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">in <strong>(PLACE)<\/strong> and call upon the people of <strong>(PLACE)<\/strong> to observe this month with appropriate programs, activities, and ceremonies to support this year\u2019s <strong>Recovery Month<\/strong> theme, Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this<strong> [Day of Month] <\/strong>day of <strong>September,<\/strong> in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-one, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two-hundred and forty-sixth.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recovery Month 2021 Proclamation WHEREAS, behavioral health is an essential part of health and one\u2019s overall wellness; and WHEREAS, recovery from alcohol and other drug use occurs every day through a variety of recovery support resources and treatment programs; and WHEREAS, prevention of mental and substance use disorders works, treatment is effective, and people recover [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"nf_dc_page":"","_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[18],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4092","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-blog"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
