The Office of Recovery will make a transformational difference in the lives of peers in recovery and in communities across America. Thank you to\u00a0Regina LaBelle, Acting Director of National Drug Control Policy, and Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, PhD, Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use for their vision, leadership and commitment to the Recovery Community,\u201d said Neil Campbell, Executive Director, Georgia Council on Substance Abuse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">\u201cThis is milestone moment in the history of the Recovery Community. With the establishment of the Office of Recovery, SAMHSA has declared that recovery is top priority sending a clear signal that recovery is real. The Georgia Council on Substance Abuse is excited to partner with SAMHSA and the Office of Recovery to enhance services for peers across Georgia,\u201d said Jeff Breedlove, Chief of Policy for the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">\u201cGeorgia has experienced a powerful National Recovery Month working in partnership with Commissioner Judy Fitzgerald at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. People are breaking the stigma, standing up and declaring that recovery is real.
