Working in partnership with our friends at the Georgia\u00a0<em>Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities<\/em>, GCSA is looking forward to a positive and powerful Recovery Month across Georgia in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xxmsonormal\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The theme this year:\u00a0<b>\u201c<\/b><b><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/rm.facesandvoicesofrecovery.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community<\/a>,\u201d<\/b>\u00a0reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone\u2019s journey is different, but we are all in this together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xxmsonormal\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">GCSA is pleased to announce there will be\u00a0<b><i>24 official Georgia National Recovery Month events in 22 communities across Georgia<\/i><\/b>\u00a0representing the diversity of the Georgia Recovery Community and demonstrating that Substance Use Disorder is a statewide issue. We are, additionally, pleased to announce that each of these events are in person with each event also streaming on social media platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cThere are over a million Georgian\u2019s whose lives have been transformed through recovery. Since these successes often go unnoticed by the broader population, Recovery Month provides a vehicle for everyone to celebrate these accomplishments. Recovery Month reinforces the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health and that people can and do recover,\u201d\u00a0<b>said Neil Campbell, Executive Director of the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cRecovery is real.
