President Biden has proven we don\u2019t have to legalize an entire industry to change marijuana laws. No one deserves to be in jail for simple possession of a small amount of marijuana. But President Biden made it clear that we should not be selling highly potent THC products, nor should we promote and encourage use among young people,\u201d\u00a0<i>said Neil Campbell, Executive Director, Georgia Council on Substance Abuse.<\/i><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cPresident Biden continues to oppose legalizing marijuana, and the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse is grateful and in support of this policy position from the Biden Administration. We are also in support of President Biden\u2019s public statement accompanying the pardon, which noted that we need important \u201climitations\u201d on trafficking, marketing, and underage sales,\u201d\u00a0<i>said Campbell.<\/i><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cGCSA will work with the Georgia Congressional Delegation and the Congressional Bi-Partisan Working Group on Addiction and Mental Health to ensure that any review of marijuana\u2019s scheduling is science-based and goes through the proper Food and Drug Administration (FDA) channels.
