The Georgia Council on Substance Abuse is proud to be a member of Attorney General Chris Carr’s Statewide Opioid Task Force which has worked in a determined manner to make sure Georgia receives 100 percent of the resources available to us under the multistate opioid settlement. The Georgia Council on Substance Abuse looks forward to working with Governor Brian Kemp, Attorney General Chris Carr, and the General Assembly Working Group on Addiction and Recovery to represent the 800,000 strong peer led Georgia Recovery Community as these important funds are appropriated to specific programs. It is essential that an appropriate amount of these funds go to service programs for the Georgia Recovery Community’” said Neil Campbell, Executive Director of the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse.
